Major Fashionista Moments Early In 2019

Fashionista

If you're a fashionista, one of the most exciting things about starting a new year can be the quick arrival of awesome fashion events. More often than not, the year simply seems to start off with a bang, thanks to a combination of award shows, fashion weeks, and even sporting events. Bearing this in mind, we wanted to take a look at some of the major fashion events you may want to tune in for, or at least read about, early in 2019.

The Super Bowl

When the Super Bowl rolls around it's definitely sensory overload, but the main focus is on the two teams playing. And if you fancy yourself a soft core better, there will be no shortage of ways to get in on the action...you never know, a small bet could win you big returns. Besides all the big budget advertisements that air during the TV broadcast, you'll also get to enjoy Maroon 5, Big Boi, and Travis Scott as the musical acts for this year's halftime show. The other form of entertainment will undoubtedly the stream of celebrities that will attend and their fashions. Never quite knowing which celebrity will show up, be caught on camera, sitting in luxury boxes alongside team owners, or who might be in a photo at the winning team's after party is part of Super Bowl weekend fun.

The Grammys

The Grammys, which will be held this year on February 10th is another fashion event not to be missed. Usually the case for most major award shows in the world of the performing arts, this show starts the night on a long red carpet where musical celebrities exhibit their fashionable best. From performers, presenters, and award winners, the many looks displayed on the red carpet are always fun to see - and perhaps help you draw inspiration from - but it's the actual red carpet leading into the show that usually turns into a full-fledged fashion show. Some might argue that the Grammys are particularly fun in all of this because the music industry's leading figures can be a little bit more unorthodox and less predictable in their style choices. However, it's not as if movie stars don't surprise us at their shows also!

New York Fashion Week

February 8-16, 2019 kicks off one the biggest fashion events - New York Fashion Week. An industry exclusive string of shows, NYFW is the place for established and upcoming fashion designers to showcase their visions for the upcoming season. To attend fashion week, you may be able to secure tickets, however, some shows may be more difficult given the designer and sheer availability. Also, public events are usually interspersed with the more exclusive ones which makes this arguably the most interactive fashion occasion on this list.

The Academy Awards

The Oscars are probably the biggest and most glamorous shows in the arts. This year, especially will be watched closely because there is still no host! Notwithstanding the controversy, this show is watched by millions of people, some for the awards presentation, but the majority are looking for who is wearing what on the red carpet and on stage - remember last year's  Academy Awards show fashion display? Makes one wonder who will top this best-dressed list. If you're a fashion fanatic, this year's show is a can't miss!
