Apothecary Heaven at bluemercury Beauty Retailer
I stepped into bluemercury beauty retailer, one of my favorite beauty specialty stores, over the July 4th weekend to check out the latest and greatest in skin care and makeup. Wow, more products? Could I handle the excitement? Uh, yeah. I’ll do anything for my readers.
What I really dig about bluemercury is that unlike other spas, which sometime appear medicinal and stark in design, it wreaks of warmth and comfort. Another draw to the store is the friendly and very helpful staff. They leave you alone when you shop. I don’t know about you, but I’m big on shopping “alone” yet appreciative of quality assistance from knowledgeable sales associates.
Need a sample? Not a problem. At bluemercury, absolutely no purchase is necessary to test a product. In fact, I was given three samples just for asking (one of which was Mario Badescu Seaweed Cleansing Soap). I tried it, and instantly fell in love with its soft, creamy texture. You definitely can’t let the simple packaging fool you. For sure, this product packs a punch. The bottom line is that as long as testers are available, you’ll have more than enough product to play with at home. That’s a heck of a shopping bonus. What more could a girl ask for?
Maybe it was something about the packaging, but Dermalogica was speaking to me. They have a new line geared towards teens called Dermalogica Clean Start All Over Clear. No more applying cream or clear goop on a bump. All your teen needs to do is spritz this burdock-infused mist on the affected area (face & body) and watch as their skin calms down. Moms, run to the store for this one! Your teen’ll love you for it.
I was also thrilled to pieces to see Aēsop on the shelves. This Australian-based skincare company integrates comments from their customers into the product development process. Aēsop Tea Tree Leaf Facial Exfoliantis interesting because the exfoliant is dry. Once you mix a half teaspoon of the facial exfoliant powder with an Aēsop Fabulous Facial Cleanser ideal for your skin type, you’ll receive optimal results. My sister tried the cleanser for sensitive, dry or combination skin types. Fabulous. While this mix-it-yourself concept is nothing new, I think it’s a great idea.
Hue Knew It Tip of the Week: Exfoliate twice a week to reveal healthier-looking skin.
Another great thing about shopping at bluemercury is that you can buy more than just a lipstick or zit cream. You can buy something that makes you feel good like a Diptyque Figuier Vert Candle or a little something that makes you smell good like Gianna Rose Tresors De Mers Soaps in Apothecary Jar.
With 25 locations across the country and an easy-to-use website, you too can experience shopping in this specialty store.
Ooh, I think it’s time for a bubble bath. Until next time!
Hue Knew It? I did.
