Rock A Warm Neutral Eyeshadow Palette Your Man’ll Love

Men hate that women wear makeup because they say it hides their true beauty. If you wear makeup like a clown, then yes, the men have a point.

To get around this issue, the trick is to wear neutral colors like what was seen on the runways at last week’s fashion week. When you rock a warm neutral eyeshadow palette, you win either way because you get to feel like a beautiful lady and your guy (or gal) can kiss you without a ton of color rubbin’ off on their collar. So ladies come on and turn on that prospective lover/BF with a wash of warm, neutral eyeshadows.

The look at Michael Angel’s presentation at last week’s during Fashion Week 2010 in New York City was described by Maybelline Global Makeup Arist Charlotte Willer as bold green and blue eye looks.  I actually thought the colors appeared to be more neutral which gave the ladies a chic appeal. Whatever Charlotte was going for worked and the product she used to achieve the look was Maybelline Eye Studio Color Plush Silk Eyeshadow Quad in Green with  Envy ($9.99, ulta.com). The green shadow used on the bottom lid added a bit of “whimsy” to the look, said Charlotte.

Jason Wu’s catwalk was filled with models wearing metallic eyeshadows. This is an easy look to pull of because all you do is apply a MAC Cosmetics pigment of your choice MAC Crush Metal Pigment ($32.50, nordstrom.com) from the lash line to the brow bone. Four colors to choose from! Just like the models seen on the runway, these metallics are ultra wearable and really pretty for the everyday diva.

Follow these steps to get the look at Michael Angel:

Step 1: Use the neutral shade as a base on the lids.

Step 2: Line the bottom lashes with the lime green hue.

Step 3: Apply the brown shade to the crease.

Easy does it with the application of color and remember that makeup is a celebration of beauty.Too bad guys, makeup won this round!

Hue Knew It? I did.
